If you prefer, you can cast on using provisional cast-on in order to avoid seaming at the crotch, or alternatively (as pictured), cast on using long-tail cast on and then sew the crotch edges together afterwards. After joining to work in the round, the bloomers are further shaped in the back with German short rows. Stitches are picked up for the leg openings and the edges worked in the round.
